Cycloastragenol is extracted and purified from the roots of Astragalus membranaceus, being claimed to stimulate immune system, to improve cardiovascular health, to repair DNA, and to activate telomerase that is crucial for anti-aging. As Cycloastragenol for their ability to enhance T cell functions in vitro, cycloastragenol moderately increase telomerase activity and proliferative capacity of both CD4 and CD8 T cells.
