Whether Organic food is healthier did not proved

A latest study from Stanford University shows that, from the point of view of nutrition and vitamins, there is no sufficient evidence can prove that eating organic food is more healthy than eating conventional food. The study results were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

Some data show that although organic foods can reduce exposure to pesticides and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, vitamins and nutrients in organic foods are no more than conventional foods. The researchers said that there is no difference of vitamin content between organic and conventional plant or animal products, the only difference is organic foods containing phosphorus slightly more than conventional ones. Another study found that organic milk and chicken may contain a little more omega-3 fatty acids.

1/3 pesticide residue in conventional foods was detected while it in organic food is only 7%, In addition, compared with the ordinary meat, the possibility of containing more than three antibiotic-resistant bacteria of organic pork and chicken reduced 33%. However, some scholars said whether organic food is healthier than non-organic food is still too early to become a statement, we need more study to explore the difference on health benefits and safety of organic foods and conventional foods.
